1. CLASS RULES FOR APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

The following rules are designed to allow for a smooth, positive and productive use of our class time.

           

1. Upon arrival in band class, be seated with your instrument and materials promptly.

 Bring your necessary materials to class daily. This includes your instrument, music, pencil, and supplies you will need.

3. Do not play your instrument without permission during rehearsal. 

4. Be respectful of all band members and directors. This includes respecting another person’s space by not touching their things or that person. 

5. Raise your hand to ask permission to talk. 

6. Gum, candy, food, or soda are not permitted in the band hall.

7. To move anywhere in the building, you must have a pass from a band director. To be admitted to class late, you must have a pass from your teacher.  Failure to have a pass outside the classroom will result in detention issued by the band directors.

8. Follow all teacher instructions as well as classroom, building, and district rules. 

1. CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT FOLLOWING CLASS RULES

 

First Offense                           Warning. A warning will be issued and the student initials will be placed in the discipline log.

 

Second Offense                      Phone call to parent/guardian and silent lunch

 

Third Offense                          Silent lunch detention (minor offense) with guidance referral / Office Referral (major offense) and phone call to parent/guardian.

 

**Major infractions will result in an immediate office

referral and possible removal from band class***
