Welcome to the 6th grade Math!  I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family.  This will be my fourth year to teach at SRA and I am very excited about the school year!  I began teaching in 2004 and received my Master’s Degree in 2005. I LOVE Math and am passionate about teaching.  I believe in a student-centered classroom where students will have many hands on experiences. Such experiences will be informative as well as enjoyable for the students.  My goal is to use a variety of teaching strategies that will tend to all learning styles throughout the school year. I hope for this year to be a great learning experience for your child!

Graded Work/Chomp Folders

Your child will be provided with a yellow Chomp Folder. This will replace the Tuesday folder used in the past years.  The folder will contain all graded tests, quizzes, and assignments from the previous week as well as any information sent from the office.  Once you have seen the work, please sign the attached sheet and have your child return the folder on Wednesday for house points.  By providing your signature, I know that you have seen all of your child’s graded work from the previous week as well as any data from IReady, CA's or DA's.

School Status and Google Classroom

You and your child will also be able to communicate with the teacher through School Status and Google Classroom.  I will be posting important information, helpful websites, classroom assignments and newsletters throughout the school year.  Please join each group.
