Class Information
WELCOME BACK!!
Welcome to 5th grade. My name is Dr. Shelby Miller, and I will be your new math teacher for the year. I have taught in the Pascagoula-Gautier School District for 15 years with this being my 2nd year teaching math. This year we will have many hands-on activities, room transformations, and lessons you will never forget.
My goals for this year are consistent communication with parents and teaching in a fun, engaging environment. With that being said, I am asking the parents for two things: 1) Stay connected with me. Call me if you have a question about anything because that is what I am here for, and I will do the same for you. 2) We may have some activities in class this year, and sometimes we might ask for an item to be brought from home (ex: Manipulatives, Lesson Adders, cute outfits, etc.). I will send home notes usually a week in advance for the items needed for any activity.
We will also have some important dates to remember that will be coming home on the weekly newsletter. I am very excited about this school year and cannot wait to share in the success with your child.
